SIBU: A residential cottage at Kampung Bahagia Jaya here, was partially damaged by fire on Monday.
A squad of nine firefighters from the Sungai Merah fire station was despatched to the scene after Bomba received a distress call at 10.43pm.
By the time the firefighters arrived the cottage was 30 percent damaged.
The firefighters managed to put out the blaze before it could spread further.
