SIBU: Chairman of Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) Clarence Ting is happy with the commitment of his councillors to ensure the success of the town’s new Sunday market at Taman Indah Teku.
The market which relocated from Jalan Mahsuri operates from 6am to 11am Saturdays and Sundays.
“I noticed that the councillors arrived at 6.15am to check on the operation of the market,” he said.
The standard operating procedures (SOP) enforced at two entry points include body temperature checks as well as MySejahtera and CovidTrace registration.
“I have continued to encourage traders to use the market and I am glad to see that we have more than 60 Iban applicants for the trading bays,” he told reporters on yesterday.
