SIBU: Sibu Rural District Council (SRDC) will conduct a one day seminar for all the Councillors and Section Heads on 10 April at Premier Hotel to align the council’s Local Key Result Areas (LKRA) with the Local Government Ministry’s seven Local Key Result Areas,
SRDC Chairman, Sempurai Petrus Ngelai said: “I hope all Councillors will contribute their ideas and inputs to the council’s planning and direction on the seven Key Areas which will become the Councillors’ key performance index (KPI). And always remember that the LKRSs must be measurable and achievable.”
He stated this at a press conference held after the SRDC full council meeting at the SRDC office here on Friday.
According to Sempurai, all the local councils have been given specific tasks by the ministry to focus on seven local key result areas which include clean food outlets, reducing wastes/green and clean markets, flood mitigation/drains, creating business opportunities like night markets, safe roads and streets, excellent municipal services/community engagements and clean toilets.
