KUCHING: In conjunction with Sarawak’s Independence Day on July 22, Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Youth Central is organising a “722 Count the Bees” contest, open to all Malaysians who are residing in Sarawak.
This contest will take place from July 21 to Aug 1. Participants will have to accurately count the number of bees on the “SUPP 60th Anniversary” billboard located in front of the party’s headquarters at Jalan Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui and complete the slogan “I love Sarawak, because…” to stand a chance to win a cash prize of RM100 per person.
According to Albert Tay, SUPP Youth Central Sports, Arts and Culture Bureau head, the purpose of the contest is to inspire and enhance patriotic consciousness among the people of Sarawak, and to follow the spirit of cooperation and solidarity of the little bees in defending the rights of the state.

The prizes are only limited to the best 60 participants and winners will be announced on the Facebook page, and will be notified through Facebook’s Messenger app before Aug 8.
