Couple held for drugs – again

KUCHING: A couple still didn’t show any remorse despite being arrested a few times over alleged drug abuse.

This time around they were again detained in a house at Mile 12, Kuching-Serian Road yesterday (Nov 18) for the same offence.

Padawan police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan said that the suspects, aged 28 and 25 were arrested at the residential premises during a raid.

Upon inspection, the police found one small plastic bag containing crystal chuck that was suspected to be Methamphetamine weighing 0.22 grammes. It was put under a door in the third bedroom of the house.

Urine tests found both suspects positive of methamphetamine and amphetamine.

Moreover, background checks found that the male suspect had a record of being arrested six times while his girlfriend was arrested thrice. These arrests were made under Section 15 and Section 12 of Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

Further investigations on the incident are still ongoing.
