MIRI: A married couple is now being quarantined at Miri Hospital after flying in from Kota Kinabalu to Mulu Airport.
According to sources, the couple arrived at the airport on Sunday around 2pm. Upon arrival, the husband suffered a severe high fever. The doctor-in-charge from Batu Bungan Mulu Clinic then conducted a medical check-up on him.
The results of early investigations found the man had symptoms of the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) infection.
The couple was immediately quarantined in separate rooms at Marriot Hotel Mulu on Sunday.
On Monday, a helicopter from Miri arrived to pick up the duo. They were later referred to Miri Hospital for quarantine.
Their travelling records, before their arrival in Mulu, showed that the couple travelled from Taipei to Singapore, Bali, and then back to Singapore, Pulau Pinang, Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu.
