KUCHING: A delegation from the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Association of Sarawak today paid a courtesy call on Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan at his office in Wisma Sumber Alam.
The one-hour meeting discusses the current issues on SMEs in Sarawak as well as the importance of the association in disseminating information on assistance and initiatives by the state government for SMEs.
“It is important for the association to listen to feedback from the ground as well because these inputs are vital to be relayed back to the government to tailor assistance and initiative programmes accordingly,” pointed out Awang Tengah.
The association is headed by its president Datuk Seri Charles Voon Jan Poh.
Also present were Assistant Minister of International Trade and Industry, Industry Terminal & Entrepreneur Development Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais; Assistant Minister of International Trade and Industry, Industry Terminal & Entrepreneur Development Datuk Dr Malcolm Mussen Lamoh and permanent secretary of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Industrial Terminal and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Liaw Soon Eng.
