KUCHING: Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun  Openg yesterday received a courtesy call from the Organising Committee of this year’s state-level National Day celebrations at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here.

The celebrations, on August 31, will be held in the compounds of Dewan Suarah, Bintulu.

The purpose of the courtesy call was to brief the Chief Minister on the preparations for the National Day celebrations.

The delegation was led by Minister of Rural Electricity and Water Supply and minister in charge of the celebrations, Datuk Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom. It included Assistant Minister of Native Law and Customs, John Sikie Tayai    and Assistant Minister of Water Supply, Liwan Lagang.
