SPAOH: The proposed construction of a covered pathway at SK Bungin here will bring significant benefits to the school community, particularly the students.

Betong MP Dr Richard Rapu said that the project, costing RM100,000, would provide comfort to students when moving from one building to another within the school premises, especially during rainy weather.

However, he said that the project was experiencing delays as the school was still awaiting official support letters from the Education Office and several other agencies to approve the project specifications.

“While awaiting official approval, the school is making preliminary preparations for the implementation of this project.

“We hope that the approval process can be expedited so that the project can be implemented in the near future.

“As the Member of Parliament for Betong, I will always provide cooperation and high commitment to the leadership team, as practised before,” he said when officiating at the SK Bungin sports carnival recently.

At the event, he contributed RM3,000 to the school and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to help finance the costs for the school events.
