SIMANGGANG: Sri Aman Division Health Office will continue to monitor activities at the Lubok Antu Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) complex to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

According to its health officer, Dr Euphrasia Bari, the health office has several officers at the complex daily (from 6am to 6pm).

“To date, no one has been detected having the virus. However, we will continue to monitor the public.

“We have also disseminated information about Covid-19 through radio broadcasts, and we carried out awareness programmes in schools and longhouses around Sri Aman,” he said when met at‘Info on Wheels’ event at SJKC Chung Hua Simanggang, yesterday.

Meanwhile, Sri Aman information officer Muhammad Alwi said his staff had been distributing Covid-19 leaflets in urban and rural areas over the past three weeks.

“It aims to explain the danger of the virus to the local people and tell them about ways to protect themselves,” he said.
