KUCHING: Sarawak recorded 110 new COVID-19 cases during Epid (epidemiological) Week 3, which showed a decrease from Epid Week 1 with 216 cases.
According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee’s (SDMC) weekly statement, Kuching remained the state’s most affected district with 37 cases.
In Epid Week 3, Sibu (15 cases), Miri (11) and Bintulu (10) were among the districts that saw double-digit cases.
The remaining districts with zero positive cases in Epid Week 3 were Serian, Saratok, Daro, Pusa, Sri Aman, Lubok Antu, Tatau, Pakan, Siburan, Lawas, Song, Beluru, Marudi, Julau, Meradong, Tanjung Manis, Telang Usan, Belaga, Lingga and Pantu.
This brings the cumulative number of cases to 324,197 in Epid Week 3 from 324,087 in Epid Week 2.
Meanwhile, there was only one death recorded in Week 3 from Sibu, while the week prior recorded two deaths in Sibu.
