MIRI: A man was injured and trapped inside his car after crashing into a ravine.
This occurred along the Bintulu-Sibu road nearby the Institut Kemahiran Mara Bintulu (IKM) on Wednesday night.
According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue department (Bomba) operations centre (PGO) a team of nine firemen from Bintulu fire station were deployed to the scene upon responding to an alert on the incident at 7.35pm.
When the firemen arrived at the scene, they noted the victim’s car was flipped inside the ravine.
Two other victims, namely a child and a woman had been sent to Bintulu Hospital earlier for further evaluation and treatment.
Firemen were able to use Road Traffic Accident Tool (RTA) to pull the trapped man to safety. He was later sent to the hospital.
The rescue operation ended at 8.46pm.
