BINTULU: A fuel tanker carrying diesel crashed into the rear of a 22-wheel trailer truck. This resulted in the tanker’s driver seat catching fire yesterday morning at km 39 Bintulu-Samalaju coastal road.
Fortunately, no one was reported injured in the incident.
It was reported that the tanker’s driver managed to flee the vehicle before the flames erupted.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre (Bomba) said a team of firemen from Kidurong fire station was sent to the scene after being informed about the crash at 9.10 am.
They managed to bring the blaze under control.
