KUCHING: Stampin candidate Lo Khere Chiang is second to none when it comes to having an intimate knowledge of the constituency.
He has accrued such knowledge through his position as Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman which serves most of Stampin.
In stating this SUPP Kota Sentosa branch chairman and Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap described Lo as a beacon of inspiration as he has deep knowledge on matters concerning Kota Sentosa and Batu Kitang.
“In terms of credentials and work ethics we think he is not a mere challenger to the incumbent candidate but a serious contender to take the Stampin constituency for GPS for the sake of Sarawak’s greater autonomy and bigger voice in parliament.
“GPS will need loyal, strong minded warriors to go to parliament and demand Sarawak rights and the track record of Lo shows that he has consistently bemoaned the performance of Malaya vis-a-vis Sarawak.”
In this context Yap urged all long-time supporters of Lo to become agents of change to ensure everyone goes out to vote on Nov 19.
Yap also credited GPS chairman Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg for displaying a matured approach in the process of selecting candidates for the 15th general election (GE15).
“As we all can see, there is no bickering and bad faith among those who were vying for candidacy.
“Under the leadership of our party president Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, we saw the solidarity of our rank and file who are all now off to the race doing their part in securing a win in Stampin for GPS,” he said in a statement on Nov 6.
