KUCHING: Sub Inspector Simon Loh gave 250 school children an idea of how to prevent crimes and what to do in case of a crime that involves them.

He was giving a talk to SJK Chung Hua Bau on Thursday morning to children below 12 years of age.

He said there were recently a number of bullying cases in Malaysia and he advised the children how they could avoid being bullied and if they were the victims, they should inform the elders, be they their teachers, their parents or their relatives.

Loh also urged the children never to fall into the trap of illegal gambling as it would affect their whole adult lives if they were addicted. He said by getting addicted to gambling which is like drugs, it could also destroy families as loan sharks would be after their debts.

Loh later distributed stationeries to the children.
