MIRI: An Indonesian man died after he was attacked by a crocodile in Niah near here recently.
His body parts were recovered on Tuesday morning inside a ditch in Sungai Telong, Niah.
Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah when contacted, confirmed that the body parts belonged to Asbullah Daeng Situju, 37who was an estate worker.
According to a report lodged, the deceased had gone to the area on Monday evening in search of jungle produce.
“One of the victim’s friends who had followed him to the area that day, saw him being attacked by the reptile,” said Lim.
On Tuesday morning, several workers at the estate were shocked upon seeing several parts of a human body inside the ditch.
The Department of Wildlife Sarawak was notified of the discovery.
