KUCHING: Sarawak’s eager desire to avenge the 2-5 defeat to the PDRM did not materialise as the Crocs again crumbled 0-1 in a Premier League match at the State Stadium, Petra Jaya, here yesterday.
The solitary goal was scored by South Korean import Lee Chang off a penalty in the 50th minute.
In a relatively balanced match, the two teams launched numerous onslaughts in the first half, but failed to score.
After the breather, both teams continued their fierce attacks, but luck favoured PDRM when they were awarded a penalty kick five minute into the second half.
Lee took the kick to give three valuable points to PDRM.
Sarawak went all out to make a comeback through several attacks but failed to find the equaliser until the final whistle.
With the loss, Sarawak dropped to ninth position in the league while PDRM went up to eighth and out of the danger zone.
For the record, this was Sarawak’s sixth defeat after playing 10 matches, with only two wins and two draws.
