MUKAH: Two corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes jointly organised by the state Land and Survey Department (JTS) and Sarawak Energy (SEB), including the Mukah Power Generation Sdn Bhd (MPG), were held last Sunday (Nov 25).
Benefiting from this CSR programme were SK Sungai Badengan and SK Sungai Duan; both of which are schools located in the rural areas of Mukah.
The programme started with the official opening of a new playground for SK Sungai Duan, followed by the opening of a new main road heading to SK Sungai Badengan along with other activities, such as planting flowers around the school compound.
State JTS deputy director (operation) Kueh Hui Urg officially closed both programmes during two separate events at the schools. Also present during the closing ceremonies were SEB resources senior manager Dr Joseph Jubin Aruh and MPG station manager Yap Cho Sen.
