Curtin lecturers win Teaching Excellence Awards

MIRI:  Two lecturers who have consistently demonstrated exceptional teaching practices and a commitment to student success have won top honours at Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) .

Dr Adamu Abbas Adamu and Dr Ho Jie Min have been named the winners of its business faculty’s Teaching Excellence Awards.

The awards are a testament to the commitment to academic excellence and innovation that Curtin Malaysia embodies.

Both winners are lecturers in the Faculty’s Department of Management, Marketing and Digital Business.

Dean of the Faculty of Business, Professor Pauline Ho, said the awards not only acknowledge exceptional teaching performance of academics, but also highlight their significant role in enhancing student learning, as well as their commitment to advancing the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Dr Adamu and Dr Ho were honoured at a special awards ceremony at the Faculty of Business, receiving their awards from Dean of Learning and Teaching, Professor Tang Fu Ee.

On the same occasion, two groups of students were recognised for coming up tops in projects to develop marketing plans for industry client GroupMap.

The students were Koh Wen Hui, Tan Rou Yiing, Abang Azri bin Abang Adzhar, Charles Boromeo Eshier Masol and Low Wei Chuan.
