KUCHING: Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah received a courtesy call from Curtin University yesterday.
Curtin University pro vice-chancellor Professor Archie Clement stated that their visit from Australia to Sarawak was to discuss the research that Curtin would like to conduct in the state in partnership with the state government and the Health Ministry.
“We are interested in developing the study that addresses the development of health and wellbeing of children born in Sarawak,” he said.
Prof Clement noted that they were proposing a world-leading study, discussing logistics and the process of which they could launch the study, and after meeting Fatimah, they would head back and develop the study on the information and advice given by the minister.
