DALAT: The gotong-royong (cooperation) programme held at several locations here was well received by the community, leaders and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

Assemblywoman Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah expressed her gratitude to them and also to the Forestry Department for providing free fruit seedlings to be planted around the Dalat Welfare Complex.

“This shows that cooperation and unity among the Dalat community is strong, or as the Melanau saying goes ‘jeolo jenaseng’.”

The programme was organised by the Dalat State Assembly (DUN) Service Centre last Saturday (Feb 26).

After the programme ended, Fatimah presented Minor Rural Project (MRP) allocations amounting to RM267,351 to village development and security committees as well as various NGOs here.
