OYA:  Dalat police headquarters (IPD) was ranked the third best in Malaysia in the recent Ops Selangau.

Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said she was informed of the news by Dalat OCPD DSP Saga Chunggat.

She said this was the key performance index (KPI) “we wish to achieve in our department or ministry”.

“Congratulations to Dalat IPD for being ranked the third best out of 156 districts nationwide,” she said at the Chinese New Year celebration here last Friday.

According to her, a committee comprising various parties was formed at the end of last year.

She revealed that the committee was determined to turn Dalat into a safe district free of drug abuse.

Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman, said to achieve this, close cooperation from teachers, residents, non-governmental organisations and youths was greatly needed.

She said the committee would always remind its members “to ensure that our district is safe and free from drug abuse”.
