KUCHING: Utility poles and wires exposed to the elements are prone to wear and tear and any damage to these should be reported immediately to the authorities for swift action.
One such scenario was noted and reported in the Pending area on Monday (June 10), where a telephone wire had come loose from its attachments and was hanging low over the road.
This could pose potential problems such as safety issues for motorists passing by, as well as telephone connectivity issues for the surrounding properties.
An employee at Telekom Malaysia could not comment on the situation, but he did clarify that their team was attending to the low-hanging wire yesterday.
