JAKARTA: A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between Danawa Resources Sdn Bhd, Sarawak and PT Trans Hybrid Communication, Indonesia was yesterday signed at the Jakarta International Convention Centre here.
Signing on behalf of Danawa was its managing Director Abdul Rahman Mohd. Sepawie while PT Trans Hybrid Communication was represented by its President Director Fadzri Sentosa.
Present to witness the signing ceremony were the Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari Tun Datuk Abang Openg and Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who is also the Minister for Industrial and Entrepreneur Development and Minister for Urban Development and Natural Resources. The MoU signified the collaboration in deploying fibre optic telecommunication infrastructure to enable Indonesia inter-border connectivity at Entikong-Tebedu and Badau-Lubok Antu.
Currently both parties have an existing collaboration in deploying fibre optic inter-border connectivity at Aruk-Biawak which extends to Singkawang and connected all the way to Pontianak.
The on-going project is due to complete by end of the year. This fibre optic network will further enhance the high speed internet communication across Borneo, especially to Wilayah Kalimantan Barat and to the rest of Indonesia.
PT Trans Hybrid Communication is an Indonesian company built to give solutions and services by delivering high quality connectivity to international gateways and backbones as well as domestic and local links to any destination in Indonesia..
Danawa meanwhile is a nationwide service provider in Malaysia since 2006. It has been involved in various telecommunications project that includes telecommunication tower, fibre optic deployment, whilst providing commercial internet broadband connectivity to corporate customers and the public.
Members of the delegation led by Datuk Amar Awang Tengah are in the republic’s capital city to attend the five-day Trade Expo Indonesia 2018 at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre near here which was launched by President Jokowi yesterday.
Also in the delegation were Assistant Minister for Industries and Investment, Malcolm Mussen Lamoh and Deputy State Secretary Datu Abu Bakar Marzuki.
