SIBU: The Democratic Action Party (DAP) Lanang branch service centre and the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), recently co-organised a ‘Jualan Agro Madani’ event at Taman Grand Height, here.
According to the service centre, the event, marking the 10th collaboration between the two organisations, received enthusiastic support from the public.
“The package included 5 kg of white rice, 1 kg of cooking oil, flour, white sugar, instant noodles, a pack of 10 eggs, rice vermicelli, biscuits, and canned sardines.
“The total market value of these goods was RM45.75, but they were being offered at a special price of RM32,” DAP and FAMA said in a statement today.
The event, officiated by Alice Lau’s private secretary Stanley Chiew, was organised to help alleviate living costs for vulnerable groups and low-income families.
