KUCHING: A teenager who was arrested for illegal racing was freed on a two-year good behaviour bond by a Magistrate’s Court, here yesterday.

The magistrate also set a court bail of RM1,000 for his release.

State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the 18-year-old suspect was arrested for riding his motorcycle in a dangerous manner at Jalan FAC Matang in Padawan around 11pm on August 24, last year.

“The suspect was riding his Yamaha motorcycle in a hazardous manner, endangering the public,” he said in a statement.

The boy also allegedly performed a daredevil stunt — lying prostrate on the seat with both legs lifted at the rear of the vehicle.
