KUCHING: State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) continued its day 16 of statewide disinfection exercise.

According to a report from Bomba, disinfection work began at 9am yesterday and the focus areas were Pos Malaysia Berhad branches located at Kenyalang Park, Satok, Samarahan, Jalan Matang and Jalan Song.

Apart from that, Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) also conducted sanitisation work at Majma Mall, DBKU Nursery Depot and DBKU Nursery Maxwell, whereas similar work had also been carried out at Kuching South City Council (MBKS) yesterday afternoon.

The operation here yesterday involved a total of 64 personnel from Bomba, DBKU and MBKS.

In Miri, two churches ― St Anthony Chapel, Pujut Corner and Grace Methodist Church, Jalan Baiduri 6 ― were disinfected by nine personnel.

The Bekenu Immigration detention facility and Tunas Bakti juvenile detention centre had also undergone sanitisation work which was carried out by a team of 29 personnel from Bomba, Immigration, Social Welfare Department (JKMM) and health ministry (MoH).

Meanwhile in Limbang, the Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) office was sanitised in the morning with an involvement of six personnel.

Sebangkoi Resort in Sarikei had also been disinfected by a team of 11 sanitation personnel.
