Political observer Datuk Peter Minos has called on Dayaks to envision and plan for the economic future of their community.
While acknowledging the strength of Dayak culture, Minos also urged the community to address its economic challenges, both during and between Gawai festivities.
He encouraged educated Dayaks to take the lead in initiating business ventures and assuming risks, adopting a business mindset, acquiring necessary skills, and making wise investments.
Minos also proposed the establishment of an agency that would offer solid business advice, assist with planning, and provide favourable financing terms and conditions for approved Dayak businesses.
He emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities presented by government planning, economic policies, and project implementation, following the example of the economically prosperous Chinese community.
