SARIBAS: Dayawa Saribas United this season is counting on the young players to take on the challenge of the Betong League-LSC 2017 campaign which will kick off today.

Dayawa Saribas United head of management, Saiful Hanizam Suhaini said the squad did not have star players but listed young players to compete for the divisional championship.

According to him, the participation of Dayawa Saribas United squad this time was just to give exposure to their young players as the squad were only formed within the last few days.

“The selection was held last Saturday and we have shortlisted 20 players to don the squad’s jersey,” he said.

Saiful Hanizam said he had high confidence in the credibility of the players who had been entrusted to compete in the Betong League-LSC 2017 campaign to reach at least the semi-finals.

“The initial mission of our team is at least to make the semi-finals and give the rivals a run for their money. “With this preparation, we are hoping on the enthusiasm of the selected players,” he said.

He reminded all the selected players to keep their spirits high as well as fully focus on every match in the competition.

“Teamwork is important and it is capable of forming a strength that can bring success to the team and we know that the challenge is to wait for the players ahead and I’m confident that all the selected players will be fully prepared.

“What’s important is that I make sure the players put their full commitment in every game and not to underestimate their opponents,” said Saiful Hanizam.
