KUCHING: dBazzar, the locally developed all-in-one app, has kicked off the new year with a fresh logo, embodying a more youthful and informal look.
CEO Kent Kho expressed his delight in the rebranding, highlighting the app’s role in users’ digital lifestyles.
“As we step into the new year, why not embrace a new logo for dBazzar, considering it’s a part of your digital lifestyle, right?
“The updated logo boasts a more youthful and informal appearance compared to the previous one, which had a more serious and structured design,” he explained.
Kho added that the company has plans to expand into the market after two years since its launch.
“Over the past two years, we’ve strategically positioned ourselves, and I believe it’s time for us to enter the market, allowing users to benefit from increased merchant support for the dBazzar app,” he said during an interview with New Sarawak Tribune.
Currently, dBazzar app is accessible through various merchants, encompassing supermarkets, petrol stations, food and beverage outlets, utilities, and more.
“From Choice Premier at La Promenade to Stutong’s Shell station, Wonderboom café, Wushiland, and even for payments like PTPTN (National Higher Education Fund Corporation) loans or phone bills—users can conveniently pay it all through the dBazzar app.”
Users can sign up several ways via dBazzar: through users, merchants, or affiliate referral codes, or signing up in the app.
“Some merchants, like Oishi Japanese Restaurant have an RM5 sign-up bonus for first-time users, so do keep a lookout for such opportunities.”
Additionally, Kho stated that users can link their e-wallets such as Touch ‘n Go, Boost, credit card, and FPX (Financial Process Exchange) to the app.
“dBazzar features a ‘Scan and Pay’ function, allowing users to make payments just like any other e-wallet.
“However, dBazzar stands out by offering numerous benefits like cashback and exclusive deals for users.”
dBazzar, launched in 2020 by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, aims to use technology to enhance the lives of Sarawakians in line with the state’s digital economy initiatives.
“During the challenging period of Covid-19, we introduced dBazzar to aid businesses and individuals through a digital platform, enabling them to generate passive income.
“Through our three-ecosystem strategy—affiliates, merchants, and users—users can earn money while spending.”
Kho expressed his optimism that dBazzar will also be able a platform to bring Sarawak to a new level in conjunction with the state’s Post-Covid Development Scheme (PCDS) 2030.
“We welcome everyone to explore dBazzar through our social media platforms and download the app from the app store or Google Play store.”
