KUCHING: The Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) Women Branch has extended their congratulations to Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on the occasion of his 7th anniversary as the Premier of Sarawak.
Today, Jan 13, marks the seventh anniversary in office of the state’s sixth Premier.
DBNA Women Branch chairlady Anielia Siam said that Abang Johari is a transformational and transactional leader in Sarawak history.
“Your (Abang Johari) progressive leadership fosters collaboration, productivity and harmony among the communities which is exactly what this generation of Sarawakians needs.
“Thank you Premier. We hope that you will always be healthy and receive God’s blessings,” she said.
On another note, Anielia also shared a set of proposals that the association aims to implement.
“We want to share with the Premier our wishes and hope it will also receive support,” she said.
She said among the proposals are the Sarawak women’s empowerment research paper and annual fund programme.
“Other than that are the ASEAN Women Zone Exchange programme; Sarawak Women’s Community Sustainability Symposium; Development of Women Entrepreneurship Initiative Programme and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
“The association’s women branch is considering the provision of Women Entrepreneur Start-up Grant; and a business license registration drive targeting widows or single mothers as well as startups,” she said.
