PUTRAJAYA: The National Security Council (NSC) will discuss in depth on whether it will allow wedding ceremonies to be held in a special meeting tomorrow.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the decision on the matter would be announced on Wednesday.
He said the government is aware and understands the plight of wedding planners who were adversely affected by the implementation of the movement control order (MCO) on March 18.
“Tomorrow’s meeting will not only discuss about the permission but also the standard operating procedure (SOP) as well as the number of attendees,” he told a daily press conference on the recovery movement control order (RMCO) here today.
Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri, who is also Defence Minister, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri would look into the implementation of Friday Prayers in two sessions as what is being implemented in Singapore. – Bernama
