MIRI: The Enforcement Unit of the Lands and Survey Department Sarawak thwarted the transfer of rock materials without approval in Miri on Wednesday.
During the operation, two heavy machineries used to carry out the illegal activity were seized as evidence for investigation.
These activities were successfully detected as a result of intelligence and patrols carried out. The case will be investigated under section 32A of the Sarawak Land Code (Chapter 81).
Following that, those who want to do the dredging or transfer of rock materials are advised to first refer to the nearest Land and Survey Office for further advice to avoid any enforcement action.
