KUCHING: Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Tan Kai has urged the Public Works Department (PWD) to hasten the repair of the road leading from Kuching to Samarahan.
“The road condition is getting bad and many potholes have appeared after continuous rain,” he said.
Tan Kai said he had also invited the department to visit the road on Jan 14 and held a discussion with it afterwards.
“The road is always jammed. The jam has become worse after the potholes appeared. I have received complaints on social media and from community leaders. The potholes also damaged the vehicles,” he added.
It is learnt that the department and its contractor will repair the potholes by early next week when fine weather is expected to prevail.
