KUCHING: Datuk Francis Harden Hollis recently conducted a comprehensive site visit in collaboration with the Public Work Department (JKR) Sri Aman Division.
The primary focus of the visit was the construction site of the futsal court in Kampung Muhibbah, where Harden, who is the Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development, was joined by key figures from the implementing agency MDSA, including Regina Giles Senin, Fanny Jun Engang, Fiona Bunu, and the project contractor.
“The second location involved plans for a drain stretching from the Brayun Road junction to the front of the Sesco store,” according to a statement on Friday (Jan 12).
Information provided by Sri Aman JKR engineer Salehah Salim estimated the cost of this 250m project at RM1mil.
“An ongoing project was also highlighted, focusing on the upgrading of the road shoulder for 100m from the Che Chuan Khor Building to the RTM building, with an estimated cost of RM1.3mil.”
The final location in the spotlight was the proposed upgrade of the drainage system from the petanque arena to the Kampung Muhibbah junction, spanning 800m.
Addressing the community, Harden, who is also the Simanggang assemblyman, noted the rapid development unfolding in Simanggang.
