LAWAS: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan conducted a visit to several project sites in the Punang area recently.
Earlier, he had chaired a meeting regarding development projects here before visiting four project sites including the Kampung Punang Entrepreneur Pavilion, Punang Nature Walk, the floating mosque in Kampung Punang and the new ‘ikan tahai’ smoke house.
When visiting the entrepreneur pavilion, Awang Tengah, who is also Bukit Sari assemblyman, was briefed on the construction process of the building.
Following this, he also proposed improvements on the Punang Nature Walk project site, which is located along the coast.
Meanwhile, the Minister of International Trade, Industry, and Investment continued the visit to the floating mosque project in Kampung Punang, which can accommodate up to 300 worshippers at a time.
Before returning to Limbang, Awang Tengah also had the opportunity to visit the new ‘ikan tahai’ smoke house project, one of the well-known dried fish production facilities in Lawas.
Also present were Lawas MP Datuk Henry Sum Agong, Lawas District Officer Ladin Atok, and the political secretary to the Sarawak Premier Awangku Zainal Abedin Dato Pengiran Jawa.
