MERADONG: The community has been urged not to blame any party regarding the Covid-19 infection involving Meradong district here.
In making this call, Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing said the infection case at Rumah Uming, Sungai Mador should not be politicised on social media.
“Do not blame any party. What is important now is that everyone continues to adhere to the related movement control order (MCO) restriction that has been set,” he said in a Facebook post on Monday (Jan 4).
He said that it is also important for the community to maintain proper hygiene to curb the spread of Covid-19.
“Let us all pray that there will be no more increase in cases in the Mador Cluster after this,” he said.
The Mador Cluster was identified on Saturday (Jan 2) involving Meradong and Sibu districts.
The index case for this cluster is case 1,115 that was detected on Dec 30 as a result of a Covid-19 entry screening upon returning from Peninsular Malaysia.
Meanwhile on Sunday (Jan 3), 905 persons were screened for Covid-19 at Bintangor Market here.
