MUKAH: Mukah MP Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib vows to do her best despite very limited funds from the Pakatan Harapan (PH) federal government.

She said available funds had to be spent wisely among the three state constituencies of Balingian, Dalat and Tellian under the Mukah parliamentary constituency.

According to her, when considering an application for a development project in a constituency, she had to think carefully to ensure that funds spent would have a big impact, rather than benefitting only a few people.

“In making a decision, I have to look at the priority of the project and also advices from government officers such as Resident’s Office and so on,” she said.

Hanifah was speaking at the Mukah Division Bengkel Pemantapan Ketua Masyarakat & Ketua Kaum officiated by Mukah Resident Hamdiah Bakir yesterday.

She suggested that to save cost, certain projects had to be implemented through gotong-royong (work party).
