KUCHING: Allowing the Democratic Action Party (DAP) to dominate Parliament is bad for Sarawak, says Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian.
“It’s still fresh in our minds how Sarawakians were denied, insulted and bullied by DAP and Pakatan Harapan (PH) when they were in power,” the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) president said in his Facebook posting yesterday (Nov 9).
Asserting that Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is 100 percent Sarawak-based, unlike DAP and PH which are controlled by Malayans, Dr Sim said these parties were clouded by their old political mindset.
“GPS will only deal with whoever wins in West Malaysia to establish a stable Malaysian government and who accepts the ‘Sarawak First’ concept.
“A deal that is the best for DAP might not be the best for Sarawakians as Sarawak DAP would have to abide by the decisions of the national DAP.
“But the deal that is the best for GPS is definitely best for Sarawak,” he said.
