KUCHING: The Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Blood Bank will be holding a blood donation campaign this weekend at four different locations around Kuching.
Running from 10am until 3pm on Saturday, the team will be at Giant Tabuan Jaya and Aiman Mall, Kota Samarahan.
On Sunday, they will be at the Agatha Building, St Joseph Church from 8.30am to 12.30pm, and at the Methodist Chin Seng Church, Jalan Stampin Baru from 9.30am to 2pm.
According to a statement issued yesterday, during the fasting month, the SGH Blood Bank will operate from 7.30am until 4.00pm including lunch hour.
To Muslim donors, they can donate blood until 9am only on the condition that they delay their ‘sahur’ (pre-dawn meal) time and should eat heavy meals such as rice during ‘sahur’.
Special parking is also available for donors.
In addition, the SGH Blood Blank also welcomes outsiders who wish to organise blood donation drives to help ensure blood supply is sufficient at all times
