MARUDI: People should not give place to complacency but continue observing standard operating procedures even as the country transits to the endemic phase in the fight against Covid-19.
Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil gave the reminder to the communities of Kampung Pemindahan Marudi during a Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri yesterday morning.
“I also hope that the existing unity among the people of Kampung Pemindahan and Marudi in particular continues regardless of differences in race, religion and political beliefs”, he added.
The event attended by more than 100 residents of Kampung Pemindahan was put together with the cooperation of the Village Development and Security Committee, Surau Nur Ihsan Committee, Rukun Tetangga, Women and Family Community Development and Security Committee.
Also present were Marudi District Information Officer Nor Hidayah Ismail, Administrative Officer of Marudi District Office Vanessa Joseph, Pemanca Jamil Hj Sabil, Penghulu Hj Edrews Abdul Gapar,chief village of Kampung Pemindahan Man Galau and heads of departments.
