KUCHING: Another Sarawak politician has expressed shock and dismay over the recent act of violence involving a Molotov cocktail at a KK Super Mart in Jalan Satok, here.

Datuk Larry Sng, the Julau MP, said as a fellow Sarawakian, he never expected to see this happen in his state.

“Our race relations and religious harmony are admired by people around the country.

“If people don’t like the brand, just don’t buy from them. It is so simple. There is no need to cause harm and damage property,” he said in a Facebook post last night.

Sng said the people should not take things into their own hands as there are laws in the country.

“So, let the police do their job. In the meantime, everyone should stay calm,” he said, adding that KK Super Mart is started by a Sarawakian, and he doesn’t believe anyone in his capacity has any intention to hurt fellow Muslim brothers and sisters.

“Nonetheless, a mistake was committed so let the law take its course,” said Sng.
