KUCHING: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan has told Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng off for underestimating the people of Sarawak.
He was responding to Lim’s recent remarks that Sarawak would go bankrupt in three years’ time under the Gabungan Parti Sarawak administration.
“Sarawakians are not stupid enough to believe his remarks. Sarawak has the best management in terms of financial for so many years and it has been proven by the best auditors in the world,” the deputy chief minister told reporters after attending “Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri Persatuan Dangsanak, Kuching” here yesterday.
“For me, Lim’s remarks are political. We can judge for ourselves how the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government manages the economy in Malaysia and even its promises are not fulfilled yet,” he said.
Awang Tengah urged the people not to believe any words from PH.
