JOHOR BAHRU: The Johor Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) has directed a team of officers to conduct an investigation into the fire and explosion incident at the Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC), near Kota Tinggi yesterday.
The Johor DOSH director’s office in a statement said the investigating team was currently waiting for the confirmation that the area was secure before commencing the probe.
He said based on information obtained, two employees had suffered minor injuries and were sent to the complex’s Central Medical Facility for further treatment.
“The DOSH views seriously each incident and accident that occurs, mainly involving workers and the public,” the department said.
In the meantime, it advised the public to stop issuing any misleading statements or comments regarding the incident. – Bernama
