KUCHING: There’s only one thing on the mind of Malaysian Games (SUKMA 2024) Taekwondo gold medallist Randy Owen Augustine Linggi – that is to continue improving.

Despite clinching two gold medals for the male individual and male group of the recognised poomsae category in the tournament, the 19-year-old said he has a lot to improve.

Randy said overcoming pressure and tournament jitters is his goal, along with improving his skills on the stage.

“At the same time, I am still happy with my overall performance for SUKMA 2024, but I will try to improve whichever I can,” he said, speaking to reporters after the competition here on Friday.

Meanwhile, he also heaped praise on the performance of other contingents who provided stiff competition during the tournament particularly Perlis.

“Other than that, I am very happy for my achievement in SUKMA, because I have been dreaming this moment ever since I first involve in Taekwondo,” he added.

Before SUKMA 2024, Randy competed in 2024 Canada Open Taekwondo competition where he clinched a gold medal and the ASEAN Taekwondo, winning a bronze medal.
