KUCHING: Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee has completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.
He shared the news on Facebook yesterday (July 17) after receiving an email confirming that he had passed his final examinations.
Dr Annuar, who is 61 this year, hopes his achievement will inspire young people to continue their educational journeys.
He stressed that the pursuit of knowledge has no age limit and that “the sky is the only limit” when it comes to learning.
“Let’s continue to pursue knowledge, young people,” he urged.
In 2022, Dr Annuar began his law studies through online learning offered by the University of Hertfordshire in collaboration with Brickfields Asia College (BAC).
Prior to taking up law studies, he specialised in cardiology, earning an Advanced Master in Cardiology from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) between 1998 and 2001.
In 2004, he underwent advanced subspecialty training at the renowned Deutsches Herzzentrum in Berlin, Germany, becoming an expert in cardiac MRI imaging.
He also obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Malaya (UM) in 1988, followed by a Master of Medicine (MMed) in Internal Medicine from St James’ University Hospital in Leeds, United Kingdom.
