PADAWAN: Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Dr Jerip Susil, accompanied by his wife, Datin Lee Chai Foong, visited the site of a landslide in Kampung Duras, Siburan today.

The Mambong assemblyman was briefed on the incident, which occurred on Nov 15 and impacted the area in front of the house owned by Catherine Tuyah Bidi.

The affected land is privately owned by the homeowner.

The landslide caused extensive damage to the parking area in front of the house and a nearby drain. The homeowner also reported that cracks have begun to spread toward the road behind the house, near the kitchen area.

Expressing concern over the situation, Dr Jerip assured residents that immediate action would be taken to mitigate safety risks.

“The safety of residents is our priority. I will ensure that this matter receives urgent attention from the Public Works Department (PWD) and local authorities to assess the damage and implement appropriate follow-up actions,” he said.
