BINTULU: Minister of Food Industry, Commodities and Sarawak Regional Development (MFICORD) Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom and his entourage recently paid a courtesy call on the Malaysian Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu at his office in Putrajaya.
This courtesy visit, among other things, aimed to provide space for direct discussions between the two sides, namely the Sarawak government and the unity government on various food industry issues in addition to knowing the implementation strategy of food security empowerment.
Also present were the Advisor at the Sarawak Premier’s Office (Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development) Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom, both MFICORD Deputy Ministers Datuk Abdul Rahman Ismail and Martin Ben, MFICORD permanent secretary Datuk Edwin Abit, MFICORD deputy permanent secretary Sirai Daha, Sarawak acting director of Agriculture Dominic Chunggat, Sarawak Veterinary director Dr Adrian Susin Ambud, SALCRA general manager Joseph Belandoi as well as government officials and other related agencies.
