KUCHING: Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hion, reaffirms the Sarawak Government’s commitment to accelerate development in Batu Kawa through continuous infrastructure upgrades.

“The phase will cover 12 areas within the Batu Kawa constituency, and 273 households will benefit from this road upgrade project following the completion of the Padawan Municipal Council’s survey and tender processes,” Dr Sim said during his inspection at Rantau Panjang, Batu Kawa.

According to a statement from his inspection, nearly 28 kilometres of rural roads in Batu Kawa have been upgraded over the past four years, and the upgrading program will continue systematically and in a phased manner.

Dr Sim urged the residents to help supervise the awarded contractors’ upgrading works and to report any issues that may arise during the construction phase to his N14 Batu Kawa Service Centre.

“With the steadfast support of the Sarawak Government and our Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, it is important for the community to unite and take this opportunity to transform Batu Kawa into a thriving and prosperous region for everyone,” he emphasized.
