KUCHING: Dr Veronica Lugah is the new director of Sarawak Health Department effective yesterday (Feb 7).
She was previously the acting director following the mandatory retirement of Dr Ooi Choo Huck who retired on Jan 31.
Dr Veronica’s appointment was shared by the State Health Department (JKNS) on its official Facebook page.
“Heartiest congratulations to Dr Veronica Lugah on her appointment as the State Health Director, effective Feb 7, 2024,” the post read.
Dr Veronica previously held the position of deputy director (Public Health) of Sarawak. She received her appointment from the Ministry of Health director general Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan.
